<The Horde> - A Guild welcoming all players of the best faction!
Hi All,
<The Horde> are an active and somewhat recently established guild that started on 15th May that has seen rapid growth since its inception, with an emphasis on promoting a helpful, fun and social atmosphere for new and old players alike. There are no restrictions and this is a Guild that everyone can call home! We regularly have between 30-60 members active each day and continually see an expanding player-base.

We have two established 10-man raiding teams and have successfully full-cleared Naxxramas which was a great success and a lot of fun. The Guild has recently formed its 25-man team and continues to show great progress. The current raiding schedule for Raid Group 1 (R1) is Mondays, 19:00 Server Time. Raid Group 2 (R2) show more flexible and availability-dependent scheduling.
We ask for raiders who know their class, have all the respective gems, enchants, equipment and consumables, and can help supply you if you fall short anywhere. Please bear in mind that some of our raiders are learning the tactics, and we will wipe as a result. We expect patience and a fun attitude as the game intended.
The Guild bank is communal and contributions are welcome and recognised. All money/items donated to the Guild bank will be used to re-invest into the Guild Members. Each rank has its own set of tabs that it can access, including Socials.
PVP (and the murdering of Alliance dogs) is highly encouraged. We want to create the warfare the game is known for. We are all for promoting faction tensions. Although we are yet to do a raid on the Alliance capitals (keep your eyes peeled for this), we regularly organise 5-man BG groups and assaults on Alliance territory. There are often Guild members looking for assistance with crafty Alliance gankers too!
There are very few rules in our Guild except those that help to maintain a friendly environment. We ask that everyone acts with mutual respect and consideration for others. We want to create that classic MMORPG feel that veteran players will remember back in 2008 (WotLK release) when playing with their buddies.
English is not a requirement if you are not a native speaker; all nationalities and cultures are welcome. Please do not use this as an excuse to be toxic or duplicitous.
We have a guild Discord that is regularly updated and always active with members, please ask an Officer in-game for the link.
Our ranking system has two elements, there is a branch for those who would like a more demanding and serious raiding experience (although we stress a high tolerance for learning and mistakes as well as a calm attitude) and a social ranking system. Both are simple. If you're selected for the raiding team, which is expanding regularly, you will fall into the category of "Raider".
Players in the Social ranking system are promoted based on a few merits, such as:
1. Helpfulness.
2. Activity.
3. Guild presence (being talkative and getting involved).
The ranks for Social go as followed:
1. Peon
2. Grunt
3. Veteran
5. Legionnaire
4. Warlord
5. Officer
6. Council
There is no formal procedure for being promoted; if you're active, helpful and show your face in the Guild chat regularly, you will be promoted. Officers/Council are hand-selected by the Guild Master and are highly trusted members of the Guild's community.
To get an invite, please type /who "The Horde" in-game and message one of our members to contact an Officer. You may also see Eluwen or Veggy recruiting in Global chat.
