You have the wrong Darkmoon Card. Darkmoon Card: Greatness (strength one) should be used.
Blood of the Old God is an alright trinket for vote points, but I wouldn't waste them on it, none of the trinkets that are on the shop are in particular worth it over what you can get on in game marketplace or from dungeon emblems in few days tops.
Only PvP trinket you should use is Medallion of the Horde/Alliance and only if you are not human.
You can get resilience from gear and gems. PvE trinkets are much better, however not every PvE trinket is good for PvP. Good trinket from point shop for PvP ret paladin is Dark Matter.
