Frostmourne realm? yes, it is allowed but it costs 30 coins (while horde -> ally is free)

About "Faction Change" mechanism, you will keep everything. You will just lose guild and arena team/rating.
Some reputation and class-mount will be converted into their equivalent of the new Faction.
