Yes, you have to level at x1 speed from lvl 1. There is no instant level. Lordaeron started in 2015 if my memory serves me right.
"instant lvl 80" feature is not available on Lordaeron realm BUT you can buy a character at "Trade" market for Coins: https://www.warmane.com/account > Trade
