Question about SM quest with faction change

So I'm very active on both factions. This means my SFS opportunities can change based on what is going on in the guilds I play on on horde or alliance. If I faction change half way through the SFS quest, do you have to restart? I know your quest log is wiped clean so of course this concerns me. Anybody know?

I can only speculate.

My guess is you'd need to at least re-pick the quest to obtain SFS's, though those should still stay in your inventory.
