scavenger hunt clues

I have 8 scavenger hunt clues on 2 different toons, I cannot delete, trade, or sell them. Is there an answer?

16 total bag slots taken currently.

04 January, today the event is over, tried to delete scrolls (also sell and mail), nothing.

Still have 16 bags slots taken.

If you go talk with the Event npc open the tab of the scavenger doesn't he have option with i want my bag space back? if u click it it should remove all the clues
