Raid Leading Pugs

Hello,

I´ve recently started to raidlead pug 25 man ICC and im kind of worried to get banned. Every raid people rage on me because they dont get what they wanted.
I get that it´s a pain to not win loot. Im not worried about those. Im worried about People like firemages that roll on healer gear like int stamina wisdom (haste,sp) or pala tanks that want an dps 1 hand axe thats clearly for fdk,rog or enh. The question is how can i protect myself from those?

I know most dont follow up on a report they take a breather and move on. But still i´d like to make things right and keep myself from getting banned.
Do i have the right to distribute loot in a pug raid or do i have to give it to the winner?

Some thank me and are happy how the raid was, other just go balistic, thats how it is :)

Prot tanks do use some of the one-hand axes/swords in icc, but it's more or less for threat.
Fire mages be fire mages.

You need to study some bis lists and develop a general idea of what items suite what classes, so you don't end up giving deathbringer's will to a ret and RO immediately after.

I do have the sense, I know protpalas can use them but others have prio. Warmane is a special place i cant make everyone happy and thats okay for me. my question is how do i protect myself from those unhappy people. I once had a rshaman that rolled on every spirit item, or a rog that couldnt accept that i gave a fury war an agi/arp ring that was pre bis. And here is the thing if i intervene one person gets mad. if i dont the whole raid has a shot on a report ...

Or screwing a fire mage out of DFO because he isn't arcane MS(even though there is no arcane mage in the raid)...

That is something you'll have to just deal with,most of the time there will be someone raging. Either rightfully so(this is the case you should try to avoid) or they're just lootwhores. Usually it's not the smart ones that rage though,unless they're ticked off by some really nonsensical reasoning(see above). This comes with pugging,you can't really avoid it,you can just avoid the dumdums in the future by putting them on your ignore list.

For the prot example,make it clear for them that it's a dps weapon first and foremost,even though it can be used for tanking(i myself use BVB hc for its hit rating+weapon speed+weapon dps+minor ehp stuff,bc my prot is offspec and i hence lack the hit from the rep ring,however,i took it as an offslot weapon even when i was prot ms).
Spirit is clearly not aimed at shamans,so tell them to **** off and roll for sp+crit/haste/mp5 gear instead(applies to paladins as well,and i know that this will make holy paladins want to hang me,but your bis legs has hit on it so caster dps with the right spec comes first for it).
Likewise,spirit is not as useful for caster dps as it is for priests(holy) or resto druids,so they get to roll as os.
For agi items,some just can't accept that specific offparts(like the VDW 25 hc ring) are better itemized than the same ilvl str counterparts,so they have to share with non-agi main stat classes in some cases(ret and fury,and for wrists/gloves dks).

The best you can do is spam your loot rules before the first pull in raid warning(and when someone gets replaced,so the replacement knows what's up),take a screenshot each time and... that's it.

I'd annnounce loot rules as in BiS+preBiS > MS > OS, and then give few examples like SilverFlash listed above. Healers have spirit priority, DBW is for Arp classes, plate haste Vali legs have prio to Unholy and Rets and THEN on Frost DK for example. Ask them if they need further clarification and explain before starting the raid.

I miss those days a bit tbh. Nowadays trinkets go to the bottom of the dps list. Oh well,such is pugging.
