I've been wrongly banned

Ok so apparently even though the option is available you are not allowed to need roll all available loot because it's "ninja looting" if it's not your class which makes no sense and needs a new name because it's misleading as hell. I don't even look at the loot, I just need or greed because need is only available like, half the time and I didn't know it was an issue because no one ever said anything before and I gave the person who needed the item the item already and this happened like three days ago and I have played two days since and I have played for over two hours today so.... Like, are y'all for real? I was in the middle of a dungeon. This person gets the item because I didn't even know clicking need on whatever it let me was an issue and I still get banned? Even though I learned what it meant and gave them their item? When people literally do it every dungeon but I get banned even though I literally gave the person who complained the item?

Alas, even if ytou gave the item back afterwards, you still in theory commited the offence. Plus you could of been reported for any other time you needed for something and thats what led to the ban, so atleaset now you know.

You use a higher priority roll(Need) to yoink an item over others who used a lower priority one(Greed/Disenchant). A worn out busted doorknob will understand how this is "ninja looting". The rules against ninja looting were implemented for a reason and you are a literal example that they work, provided someone takes the time to report the offense. If you're a warrior and you see a staff drop, you're not supposed to Need on it just because the option is available. No friggin warrior runs around with a staff in their hand, or a dagger for that matter. If a class doesn't make use of an item, EVERYONE in the group has equal right to get the item and sell it for gold or disenchant it, provided EVERYONE actually clicks the Greed/Disenchant options. It's attitudes like yours that break this simple Need-before-Greed system. If your class legit makes use of the item and it's a legit upgrade for you - you Need. If you don't use said item or you already have something 50 times better - you Greed. Items that don't fit the class-limited looting options, but are legit usable by said class, can be discussed with the party members, maybe before you steamroll the dungeon and already press disenchant on the item in question.
