Unable to validate e Game Version

I play on a 2017 MacBook Pro. I downloaded the game through the torrent and upon receiving the Cannot upon application I inputed the Chmod command into my terminal as instructed which ultimately the last two days.
I tried to login today on the client and got, "Unable to validate a game version. This may be caused by file corruption or the interface of another program"
I deleted and redownloaded the game today, reran that Chmod into the terminal to let it work and I just got the same result.
I am confused on why I was able to play yesterday and not today. Anyone else struggling with this or have a potential solution?

I have the exact same problem. I downloaded the game Friday, using this websites client version, and did the Chmod command. Then suddenly lastnight I got a login error for "Unable to validate a game version..." I've been trying hopelessly to fix this and have so far found nothing that works. Literally nothing changed. I quit the game one moment then next time I tried to login it just started doing that.

So frustrating man. I have also exhausted every previous thread containing our key words "unable to validate game version".
So confused, sucks.

If you find anything that works please let me know

which MAC OS and CPU have you got?

Its an older macbook pro, mid 2009, os is =10.11.6. Strange thing i can run and play on other servers only warmane gives me thisnerror...

OS 10.11 means "OS X El Capitan"?

Hi Skullatbash, tried it but it says it can not validate. however other servers is running.
I had this error before on a classic private server where the app cannot be called wow but needs to be spelled out world of warcraft. But now i dont know what to do. I also dont understand why other private server WOTLK runs but on Warmane it blocks...

I got the same problem. running el capitan 10.11.6

I tried it as well and it still said game version is validated. other private servers are also working for me. Although I do remember when that update/maintenance screen in the login page started showing up is when it stopped working, so maybe its the version right before that that works still?? Not sure. Also was trying to do wine but couldnt figure out what engine of wine to use for 10.11.6

there is 1 thing I do not understand.

You guys can successfully play on other wotlk private server with your wotlk client?

but when do you guys get "Unable to validate a game version...":
1. when you open the client?
2. when you try to log with your account?
3. when you try to enter in game with a character?

btw rember to log in with "account name", not email address

Yeah i tried chromiecraft and the russian servers and they worked. its really strange. theres a few other people I've seen make posts about this too so it seemed to happen to a few of us at the same time. And the "unable to validate..." part happens after logging in with my account. And yeah I use the account name, not email address. I was playing for 2 days before this suddenly happened.

Any idea what might be going on?

Same here, client opens then when i log in with username it does not fully login but guves an error that. Its unable to validate.
On my classic client i also had it in the beginning and it had to do with naming of the app. wow.app isnt allowed for mac but needs to be world of warcraft.app on certain servers. So there is also some check on the server side.
