client always crashes at first start; screen freezes on boss with fixed timer

every morning when i wake up and start my pc, i always log in to icecrown to do a couple dailies. and every time i do, i have been having this recurring problem for months now.

the first time i start up the client after just switching on my pc, it always freezes and then the "not responding" window pops up. ALWAYS. sometimes as i type my username it crashes, sometimes it lets me get to inputting my password. but it never lets me get to the character selection page. i've gotten so used to this now that at after turning on my pc, i open two WoWs because im already expecting and know that the first one i opened will crash, and it does 100% of the time.

its been months, i tried to live with it, but im just tired.

i also think its somehow connected to my recent frequent screen freezes during boss fights (so far i observed it in DBS, LK). when it happens, i just let it freeze and hope my character doesnt get logged out because i dont want to miss on loot. after a few minutes though, i hear all of the DBM prompts at once (simultaneously) then the loading screen pops up and after loading im a ghost outside icc.

tldr: looking to get help on 2 problems
1. first client launch always crashes after booting up my pc
2. been having more frequent screen freezes during boss fights that have timer (DBS, LK) but i dont crash, it just fast forwards me to after the boss fight is finished and: a.) if i died, im a ghost now; or b.) if i didnt die im just standing there in the boss platform afk

and yes, i tried the HD client hoping its different there but no, still get the same problem
