Need your opinion on the following interaction
Hey, all.
As the title suggests, I'm curious to know what causes a certain interaction to behave the way it does. To make it clearer, I'm talking about the one between http://wotlk.cavernoftime.com/spell=29801 and http://wotlk.cavernoftime.com/spell=24932 whenever a feral druid leaves its respective form, e.g. in order to bress or innervate someone. A few weeks ago, I've noticed a delay. The warrior's 5% crit doesn't pop up immediately, but rather after 1-2 seconds:
I'm quite certain that this isn't a warmane-specific bug because I've found something similar in an old retail video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jiICw5HsSY0
Timestamps for the dudu 5% crit being replaced by Rampage:
- 1:59-2:00
- 2:54-2:55
- 5:35-5:37
Up until today, I thought that this was hard coded, and I didn't put any more thought into it. However, in a casual raid prior to the pull, I started shapeshifting out of cat form in the presence of a fury warrior. While I still witnessed the delay, on some attempts I saw how http://wotlk.cavernoftime.com/spell=29801 instantly appeared after shapeshifting out of cat form. Now, I don't have footage of that, and you have to take my word for it (or you can test it for yourselves), but I have a question - what's the real culprit of this peculiar interaction if not a clunky code? Latency? Transfer of the information between a client and the server?
Thanks in advance!
