There's no need to close it. It will eventually fall to page 2, and then page 3 and so on. Until somebody decides to necropost this thread on March 18, 2023

I did a similar report. The answer was to use the in-game ignore function...

Usually that's the way to go. In extreme cases reports will take effect. Not all bad talk gets you banned, you know.
