Hey, I logged in to play today and I saw that my account was suspended but I don't recall doing anything worth being suspended over. I haven't played as much as I used to and I've just been running the occasional RHF. Is there a reason I was suspended or is there a way to find out? I don't use any cheat software and don't say anything really mean to people and definitely don't ninja loot. Did my account get hacked maybe?

On your account main page it will tell you why you were banned. And they don't ban without proof so you must have done something to warrant said ban. Oh, and the top sticky in this forum explains that. Here's the link

That's weird. It says I was susbended for ninja looting but I'm usually pretty careful about what I loot and I always ask for permission on OS. It must've happened recently since I haven't played for a few months. All I can think of is when I got roasted for needing on Needle Encrusted Scorpion on a ret pally but no one else needed it. Oh well it's just 2 days I'll manage. Just wasn't expecting Ninja-ing to be the reason tbh
If you were a tank, you would've been roasted for a reason. As retri, you get some roast as it's NES is aimed more at physical DPS, which retri isn't.Quote:

But me needing on something that could be used by my class isn't ninja-ing. I've seen ret pallies use it before so I just assumed I could use it. I didn't know it wasn't really for ret pallies until I got it. That's more me not knowing the game super well than me being a ninja. I just think if that was the reason, it's a bit of a silly one to ban me for since ret pallies still do some physical dps. Sure, not the best for pally but it's not like I was a mage or a tank. It somewhat fits my class since other pallies have used it. I get told classes should focus on different things all the time that contradict what other people say so it's hard to keep up lol.
No one said a thing after I won it. They were just like 'oh well they'll use it anyway' and it was mostly in jest. Perhaps it was another occasion that I just forgot but like I said, my need/greed etiquette is usually okay.

NES is certainly not that good for retri, but really, if no one else in the group had a use for it, what's the point? Just so someone else can vendor it for 12g? Meh.
Who knows? But the thing is they likely all hit Greed, which would give everyone the same chance to do whatever with it, and that's denied when someone goes with Need. If he had used Greed as well and won, no one would fuss about it. It's not about not being allowed to have the item, but about everyone having the same chance to receive it.Quote:

Actually, arp is not good at all for a paladin, until you get sm, so Arpadin, those 12 gold would be worth more to someone, even to you, than that trinket.
But it was, as you have to pick Need for something that, even if it could have some marginal numerical increase on some stat, wasn't something for the role you were playing in that instance to get banned. You not seeing it so doesn't change what happened or the rules and punishment we have for that. Our GMs can't know who really just "didn't know better" or spare the time to have individual interviews or whatever else to find out who isn't lying.Quote:

So by this logic, if an item isn't exactly for that character, I can report everyone that does that? I'll get a lot of opportunities to do this. It's not me rolling on a completely irrelevant stat. It's me rolling on an MDPS trink when I do MDPS, which shouldn't be something you get banned for cause that could very easily be abused by anyone that's bothered by you. Not everyone is chasing the meta 100% or even cares to do so, so they see other people with one of the big mdps trink and they also roll on it. IF that is even the reason for the banning, it's still a really silly one. Like I said, I've had people tell me to focus on different stats like every month on this server. You shouldn't ban someone for just rolling on a trink they think might be helpful. That expects everyone to just be punished for not being the type to minmax.
You're for sure not banned for needing on needle as a ret paladin.
There's a couple of red flags like asking if it's fine to roll for OS or "my need/greed etiquette is usually okay.".
Rules are very specific in this case and i'm quite certain you crossed the line with an item you flat out forgot about due to being it a random offspec roll or something like that.
Not a single time in rdf i've seen someone following rules when it comes to rolling for offspec. Most just say "I'll roll os" and if one guy says "fine" and the rest stays silent they do it. This warrants a ban if someone reports it.
This is the reason I strongly advocate against OS gearing in RDF. It's risky at best. If you don't 100% understand how it's done (and 90% of the time the ruling would be 'not allowed', as one or more didn't bother reading chat). Get your MS to point where you don't need <232 ilvl gear. Start gearing OS with FoS/PoS/HoR/ToC premades and ToC/Ony 10 raids where MS change is allowed, and where you don't need items for your MS.Quote:
