Questions about selling characters from a newbie

Sorry if this is in the wrong area. But I just looked at the Warmane store yesterday and realized I can gear the toons I like for only a few hundred coins each (except Shadowmourne is 150 coins). This gave me the idea of leveling toons to sell. I'm wondering if it's better to sell characters on Icecrown or Frostmourne?

Do fresh 80s with no achieves, 150% flying and no profs sell at all? It'd be easy to crank out 5 fresh 80s per week. If not then what is the minimum they need to be desirable and how many coins would they sell for? I saw another post that said it's best to have 2 professions maxed, 280% flying and leave 5k gold and sell the toon naked. If so then I need to get to farming more gold because that's like 20k gold per toon. How many coins would a toon sell for if I did this? What classes are best to level and sell?

I decided not to sell any characters because the profit margin is too slim without putting in alot of work on the toon.

I asked a guy in my guild today why is his character called Kebab in tortilla in Swedish.

He answered that he did not had any idea what the name means and he bought the character on marketplace : )

Well it's more complex, but I will try to answer.

I sold this FM season (from April 15 to June 15) 5 characters each one withing range 30-50 coins without 15% cut from trade, meaning i got 25-42 coins per char, so I could by SHM on my main on IC. In 2 years of playing here I have a principle that if I want to sell a char, it has to be best on the market in that price range. So i never sold character on IC because: - server is old, a lot of people are Bis, you have endgame 3.3 content,a lot of boes, mounts achieves etc, harder economy on gold also. So logically, if someone wanna buy char on IC, they expect a lot of those things even in lowest 30coin price, they want to have proffs, HC achieves at least, boes, gold etc, because to get character only on level 80 is 5hour thing on IC with boosting, so none care about naked 80.
FM on the other hand, the situation is different there. Because it's seasonal realm, i take this like a opportunity to make coins to buy items on my chars on IC. Basically the best time to sell chars on FM is during phase 1 which ended like 2 weeks ago, because everyone is low, there is not much boe, therefore you don't need a lot of gold on char, achieves are nonexistent of course. So i just level my char, make some quests , so i buy 150% flying, Then i continue questing for gold on skybreaker, rep quest to buy tabard, some rdf and trying to get on 2.8kgs to go heroics. If I have around 5k gold, i always make engineering to 440 and Jwc to 450 from ah. It cost me from 4-6k together depending on what time I do it during phase 1. I put character on trade during the night, if character doesn't sell, i just cancel it and do dailies on skybreaker and make extra gold on top and put it on AH again, and again... So basically as you mentioned, on FM it's possible to sell naked char with just good proffs (because no one care about mining and herbalism lol) and some gold, dual talents, maybe 75k honor to instantly buy 1-2 pieces to strat playing BG/arena. But again, as the season progress on FM it's harder and harder to sell, because people will want more and more, because you have more boes available, Gold have less value then in phase 1, some will wants to have achieves already from naxx maybe even from ulduar. And it's no longer viable for me to play 2 or more weeks to accomplish that, only to sell a char for 30-40 coins. In phase 1 it took me around 8 days (/played 1.5day ingame) to make char level it, make gold, proffs, and sell it...so i got 160+- coins for SM in 2 months. I only leveled mages and I had no boost character like warr or pal to help me, i just saved 1k gold from 1st char and every other before sell, so I could occasionally buy ZF boost and so i just don't have to beg for gold. If you interesting in what classes, just look on trade how many chars are for trade and then decide. Generally you have a lot of dk, paladin, warr, so it's hard to sell those, mage priest lock are better, maybe hunter rogue etc. I did mages, because they can be sell quickly, and they can solo literally every quest I did on skybreaker as Frost mage, eve those [5] man quests with just 3k GS.
So that's my 5cent to character selling. Sorry for wall of text.

I sold 4 shamans in Naxxramas patch at Frostmourne. Each was 30 coins and their gear was full boe and quest rewards. They didnt have any professions or even flying mount.They all sold in just a few days after putting them on sale.
