Will we be able to use the 64bits WotLK client for Warmane in the future?
Hi there,
It's all in the title.
As you might know, the client we're currently using to play on Warmane was developped for 32bits architecture some 14 years ago, and it was drastically limiting the amount of RAM the game could use among other things. I do know that there's a patch on the forums that allows the game to use up to 4gb, but even then, i'm personally having a very mediocre frame rate (35 to 50) in Dalaran and during raiding on a desktop machine that has an i9, an RTX2080ti and 16gb or RAM... Yep, the kind of machine that basically runs the likes of Cyberpunk 2077 with full details and ray tracing at 1440p at 60+ FPS...
And yet, i can't get 60 FPS on a 14 years old game.
Anyway, with the release of WotLK classic, i was wondering if there would be any hope in the future for us downloading and using a version of that client to play on Warmane? It would certainly improve a lot of things.
And it seems that quite a lot of people i talked to recently are wondering the same.
If a dev would be so kind as to give us an answer regarding this, it would be very much appreciated!
Thanks!
