Account and IP ban duration.

Hey all,

my IP address was banned temporary and I also obviously can't log into my account.
Here's my question, though: when the IP ban expires, will my account ban also expire or is the account banned indefinitely?

Where did you read the ban on the IP is temporary?

On the "My Account" page. It says:

"Your IP Address (*.*.*.*) has been suspended for 1 week 2 days due to Advertising"

I have no idea, but you can access your account from another IP address (like your phone, when disconnected from wifi) and find out.

Odd, IP bans were always permanent. Since advertising is something punished with a permanent ban, and I don't see why that would ever be changed, I'm going to assume the IP would be released for use, but the account directly punished for the advertising would remain banned. To be sure how this new temporary thing works you'd need to contact a GM, though, they're the ones who control in-game bans.
