ingame toxicity regarding raiding/gear/misplays
I really don't understand where all the impatience and toxicity comes from in game, but it's real bad, and it seems like its the norm for some reason to be a complete jerk to everyone.
This is my first time playing the game properly - my very first save. I've hit 80 after some gruelling griefing and spawncamping (it's pvp, so I kinda expected this) - so I was really looking forward to getting some end game gear to help other low levels who might be being griefed somewhere.
I'm still learning a lot about the game, and more so now about raiding. A lot of these bosses are my first time, but i'm trying my best with the DPS meter and Deadly boss mods addons.
When I do make mistakes, or if my dps isnt as high, people troll and flame about it - rather than being constructive and actually trying to help. I've only had ONE player whisper me after a dungeon to see if I was new, and alas, as soon as he knew, he was a lot kinder and actually gave me tips. In the entire month i've been playing so far, only one person was actually kind.
Whats the deal? I can't get a better gear score without doing these dungeons and raids, so why do people feel the need to be so toxic? Kinda puts me off, making me want to go back to guildwars!
rant over, sorry
