Kicked out of the raid for trying to defend myself
Hey! I joined a pug today, icc 25N, as an ele shammy.
Everything went smoothly, we reached Vali - when the RL asked me to switch to resto - said NP. He asked me and the other rShaman to stack on the pala marked with square, inside the portals. So I did, but I noticed the pala is a bit too quick, so I was having a tad of a difficult time stacking with him before I reached him initially. Meanwhile - the other shaman is going the other way, not stacking - so we lose 50% of the stacks. I notice the RL shouting my name in caps - “Stack with the pala you *****” and I’m typing in the raid chat “I am stacking, the other shaman isn’t”. I think to myself - probably they misread my name since both of our names began with the letter T. We enter the portals again - the other shaman is still not stacking - and I notice the RL blaming me.
The fight was over easily, since it was N. No harm done either way.
Then I just tell them that they must’ve contused me with the other shaman, and then they start to convince me that I only had 5 stacks at one point, so it must’ve been me. I tell them the reason for that is that the pala ‘escaped’ from me so the stacks were reset. They don’t believe a word I say - so I kinda said they must be blind to not notice me flying right next to the pala.
So I got kicked for being a ‘smart ass’ even after apologizing. Didn’t get reinvited to roll any of the loot from the prev 10 bosses. Worst thing is - the other shaman didn’t say a word, but I’m pretty sure he didn’t speak English, so he didn’t know he needed to stack.
So, my question to you fellow warmaners, do you think this behavior is ok and acceptable? I kinda lose the will to play on this server after such experiences.
I know I’m to blame too, for insisting them to see reason and give me the benefit of the doubt, maybe I should’ve kept my mouth shut and pretend I don’t know how to stack in a game I’ve played since 2006 (fml).
I submitted a ticket to the GMs with attached screenshots, but Idk if it will make any difference.
Has anyone had a similar experience?
Thanks!
