I just saw a few old threads about boosting and it seems there are boosts for levels but can anyone confirm about gear boosting?
ICC and the others seems like its a service but i thought certain items from raids arent always dropped from bosses so where does that lead to?

From what I've seen, when someone sells you a raid carry for gold, they bring you into their guilds raids and guarantee you certain types of drops for your class/spec. That's something you have to negotiate. Yes, there isn't a guarantee things will drop. They aren't selling you the drops. They are selling you the run through the raid and what *might* drop.
