Hi, today I've noticed my account got banned automatically after being unbanned today. I have no idea what's going on.
My account got banned due to https://forum.warmane.com/showthread.php?t=458277 but today the GM Smyth unbanned me and I was able to log in to the game, but now my account got banned again and I don't know why, cuz I haven't done anything except playing a bit. An since I cannot appeal to a ban sooner than in next 30 days, I don't know what to do. Can someone help me?
Any reason stated in red in the My account page?
It's the same as the first time. Banned due to advertising. But I didn't do anything this time. U just logged in and turned in a quest I had on me. Then I logged out and that's it. Couldn't log in again.
Stop using free VPNs.

Would you happen to be using some addon that could be spamming global without you knowing or something? But then again someone would've eventually /w you or something...
Not really, because I've been using all the same addons for all the time I played the game. I don't have any addons that fiddle with chat, like some users do with those "I finished a quest, bla bla." in /p or something like that. I believe, the GM took down my ban, but there must be wrong with their anti-spam systems, cuz when the GM unbanned my account for the first time, this was the message: "You were flagged by our anti-spam systems." I don't believe any of the addons I have would be spamming anything in chat, as all I'm using are stuff, that is helpful only to me, like GearScore, NPCScan, Atlas, Bartender4, Combuctor, DBM, DHUD3, Omen, Recount. I don't think any of those spam the chat on any channel.
In that case I really don't know. I'm out of ideas.
Me too. The problem is, though, that now I cannot appeal to the ban again, because I can only do that once a month. I have no idea how to reach out to GMs. I PMed Smyth here on the forum, but I doubt he's reading his PMs. :(
If you're on a banned IP, logging in again while using it will have the same result.
The ban Support lifts is the one on an account, bans on an IP aren't removed.
But I was unbanned. The IP ban was removed. I saw the red text "Your IP Address (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx) has been terminated due to Advertising" gone. I could log in to the game and then the ban was back. How can I log in from a different IP when I play the game at home. That's my IP... I cannot change it.
As I said, your account was unbanned. IPs aren't, because for one to get banned in the first place it has to be repeatedly have been used to break our rules. If you use a banned IP again, the account gets eventually banned when the system catches up to it.
Anyone can change their IP, be it by cycling their modem to get a new one when dynamic, or by requesting it from their ISP in the odd case you for some reason have a static one.
Ok, I'm not that technical. I had to do a little research about how can I change my IP in German Telekom. Seems like I've managed to change it. And now I'm logged into the game. But won't the ban happen again on the new IP? Like, I see the status of my account is still suspended, although I'm in the game now. I want to prevent any future problems like that.Quote:
