Launcher doesn't display 2FA window - can't login

As the title says, upon starting the launcher and entering my email and password I am disconnected from the server. Normally, if I then enter my password again I am prompted to enter my 2FA code and then I am able to log in.

However, now the launcher doesn't show a 2FA box so I can never log in.

What can I do to solve this?

2FA bar only appears when it's needed to. Usually that's when you're connecting from new IP.

Also you use username to login, not email.
