Custom world events

Add custom world events to the game, such as:
"A week without Dalaran" : No NPCs in Dalaran for a week
"Azeroth at War" : All zones are contested for a week (even your home cities)
"Grand Exchange": Horde becomes alliance and alliance becomes horde for a week
"Raining pets": A weekend when it's raining eggs from above and when you open an egg you get a random pet/mount
"Hardcore day": If you die that day, you lose your character, and can recover it for 50coins
"GM's Lair": Custom raid at GM island with one boss, the GM, who has like 5 abilities and players need to beat a GM
"Random wormholes day": You decide to risk to enter the portal and be teleported to random location

Someone needs to stop this madman!

A week without Dalaran was tried today and people weren't happy (well, okay, mages were happy)

I like the Azeroth at War one.

Someone has to bring up innovations!
As this game gets older the population is declining naturally. We can't just stick to the OG WotLK forever, it's getting over played, and adding some memeness to the world would make it more fun

how about a week with no flying mount, so ppl need to clear the entire icecrown path to icc, kekw

YES!!!
Wrath babies could experience what it was like to get to BRD back in Vanilla.

All NPCs on the way to BRD are completely avoidable...

Opposite faction players aren't NPCs ;)

Your suggestion is not related to the topic, sir

Honestly, most of these sound like crappy events. "A week without Dalaran", "Azeroth at War", "Grand Exchange", "Hardcore day", and "Random Wormholes Day" all basically boil down to "how can we made a simple change that complicates gameplay for no reason, and creates no incentive/reward for doing so?"

"Raining Pets" just sounds like a "giveaway" event. Doesn't really add much to the game, does it?

The only one that sounds like it's a reasonable event idea, especially if it comes with the typical "boss loot" is "GM's Lair". Except you'd have to figure out what loot table to give it that wouldn't be "Custom Items"...cause we know how Warmane doesn't want to have any of those. Otherwise, it wouldn't really be any different than any of the holiday boss fights. Other than being "Custom Content" that Warmane is also predisposed against making/adding.
