PVE healer for Vanilla --> TBC -->

Hi all,
I think of returning to WoW after years of break.
And the announcement of progression from vanilla to WotlK sounds great.

But due to my long absence, I have no longer an idea which classes are good, or used in instances/raids.

Could someone give me some advice which healer for PVE will be performing very good for that way?
I know in vanilla was priest good, but in wotlk only disci is seen as good, but you only have one of those in a raid.

I hope, someone can help me.
I am not fixed for ally or horde.

All healers can work in all phases...but if you're trying to be the "best".

Holy Paladin is pretty safe and I think they only trend better and better with each expac.

Resto Shaman will probably peak in TBC with everyone wanting to stack Shamans in raids regardless of spec.

Priests are considered the best in Vanilla.

Druids are steady and versatile, but probably peak in Wrath.

In any case, other than Shamans for Bloodlust/Heroism in TBC, raids probably will try not to take more then 1 or 2 of any healing spec if they can help it, so play what you find fun.

I totally agree with LezChap1, he explained well the idea.

Honestly, I think the important thing is enjoying the class you are playing, regardless if it is the best or worse.
I mean, you can choose Priest just cause it is the best in Vanilla, but if you are not liking the way you heal, then you will not be involved and get better with it.

Vanilla is quite balanced, so I think you can choose a class you like also other specs (since the moment there is dual spec in this run from Vanilla to WoltK).
