MC Ragnaros struggles - looking for tips

Hello fellow raiders,

We are having challenges on Ragnaros atm:

- what is the range on Wrath of Ragnaros for mana users? We treid 10y, 12y and 18y in duos and still lots of knockbacks
- Timer for DBM addon on Wrath of Ragnaros for melees is off, we cant seem to figure out when it is
- Once MT (300+ fire res) gets yeeted by Wrath of Ragnaros immediately range get 1shot Magma blasted for 6k, even though we have OT standing by to taunt in case.
- How many tanks and healers is good starting point?
- can ranged pull threat on Rag?

Any other tips? How did you guys/gals clear the Firelord?

it is 18 yards but because range works differently on retail and private servers (21 yards between 2 male taurens)
look at a guide and use a stopwatch - or provide logs to zidras for fixing. dont expect everything to be hand served.
mt should have 315 fire resi. the offtank should pay attention, then no one gets magma blasted
2 tanks and 6-8 heals - depends on your group and how stupid people play.
no ranged cannot pull aggro, except if they run or get knocked into melee rage

I dont provide thinsg to be handserved, thats why I actively trying to find answers, and tey things out. Including asking others for tips :) lets see if we manage this week

dbm doesnt work, confirmed.

when you see him yell: TASTE THE FLAME OF SULFURON, he does knockback, and melees can go in for around 15-20s until next yell.

Fire res on MT doesnt work as it should. With +315 fire res i didnt resist a single wrath of ragnaros, then again when i used normal mitigation gear(around 180 fire res with buffs) i managed to resist 2. We had less issues killing ragnaros on release than last 2 IDs.
Ranged is gettin knocked left and right sometimes even twice in a row for an unknown reason it also seems they can take aggro even while someone is in melee range also sometimes they get knocked forward closer to ragnaros. So spread em properly.
Try using DBM made for warmane (Zidras version) and tell ur melees to go out 2-3secs before times expires, wait untill Wrath of Ragnaros actually happens and tell em to come back in, at the same time your OT should be ready to run in as soon as he sees u gettin knocked back. In case u have feral druid in the guild take him as OT becuz new warrior meta build - fury/prot - doesnt allow em keep rage when switching stances.
You can also keep 1 extra tank as dps, close to ur tanking position, so he can take over in case MT or OT dies.
