Why are people so awfully toxic on this server?

#1: The Underbog - Boss fight Swamplord Musel'ek.
Was OUT OF RANGE of the boss when the tank pulled it, got chain frozen in the UNAVOIDABLE Throw Freezing Trap including everyone else except for the tank.

Tank leaves the group, but not before telling everyone the DPS sucks while linking details. Like was he blind and didn't see the chain freeze 3+ times in a row leading to healer not being able to heal and DPS being stuck unable to attack?

#2: The Escape from Durnholde
Guy starts blackmailing me saying I should give him a random green item he forgot to roll on because otherwise he will report me:


He then stops healing me when I get aggro leading me to die:

I left the group afterwards and did not give the item, because it will now go towards my repair bill for him letting me die.

#3: Multiple other occasions where people leave groups, start cursing each other out and saying racist or other obnoxious ****, sometimes for no apparent reason.

I also notice people having ZERO patience on these server, I was growing tired of Retail WoW because of people being obnoxious, while thinking private servers would have more laidback and chill people like everyone always seems to claim, but over the course of the past two days I've come across a multitude of degenerates that make Retail WoW seem like child's play in comparison.

I would have given him the item if he acted like a normal human being, and I don't mean he should get on his knees and beg for it but a simple 'Hey I forgot to roll on that item, can I have it?' or something similar would have been fine.

He did not clarify what he needs, he immediately started demanding and blackmailing in an attempt to force me to give it to him. I contemplated giving it him just so he would shut up, until he just left me to die and didn't res me either.

I left the group and ignored him, given his demeanor he probably DM'ed me afterwards as well.

I'm always envious of this, all I get is "port in, silence, finish dungeon, port out". It has become extremely boring and sterile.

The world revolves around them and that's it.

I think a video by Folding ideas, Why it's rude to suck at world of warcraft, gives a decent insight on why en mass people behave badly in MMO's and other games for that matter.

Yep, too many toxic players, some players just take things way too seriously and forget it's supposed to be fun.

Wow, that's really frustrating. It's disappointing how toxic some people can be in these games. Hang in there and hopefully, you'll find a better group soon!

I agree with you - there are just too many toxic players here. They ruin the experience.

For example, as an elemental shaman, i was kicked from RDF group because
a) i was meleeing (oom)
b) i didn't use magma totem (at lvl 24)

The eluneagro-something tank couldn't hold the mobs, so i had to self-heal myself. After i oom-ed because of that died, he, instead of playing the game, was /sit macroing me.

So mouth full of "advices" but really just an anger and low skill.

Ha, I've had a case with my shaman when in a dungeon the healer was oom and I was offhealing. Got kicked because "you're not the healer why are you healing and not dps'ing". Guess I should've just let everyone die...

Agree, on retail I had maybe 5% of warmane toxic experience.
Most of these toxic people have no other passions than wow,
having no other passions make people frustrated and they take out whole anger in wow.

By the way, if you play PvP, be prepared for a lot of toxicity. Many players get really upset when they lose. In battlegrounds, you'll often see someone in the /bg chat typing things like "OMG NOOBS, LOSERS, NOOB TEAM." In arena solo queue, expect to be blamed by new teammates who expect you to be perfect, even if they're the ones causing problems.

people need to understand that this is just a game for having fun... when i enter the game to forget about my daily stress, I end up with more stress most of the time.

Find your people~ it might take some time since it takes some luck to meet pleasant/like-minded individuals or groups out there. Don't have to be too bothered by meeting the occasional bad egg. There's also another way, take 100% ownership of the people you meet by forming your own guild from scratch, can start small by interviewing people off /global or reaching out to people who you'd enjoy spending more time with after a good rdf hc. A whisper goes a long way.
