New to the game, has some questions

So I am actually very new to Warmane and also World of Warcraft as a whole. I chose to play Warmane because I am broke lol.

I am currently doing quests in Astranaar, Ashenvale with a lvl 26 Night Elf Rogue. Am I too underleveled for this area? I always die against enemies in this area.

I am currently equipped with Kris and Blade of Cunning (28-40 dmg, 1.6-2.0 spd) and has a total 471 armor. With where I am currently now, is there a better gear for my character that I missed during my playthrough?

additional question: i saw a death knight class in a yt vid. how do i unlock it?

It's common to have a hard time, because you don't know your class/game yet and undergeared.

You have definitely missed hundreds of gear pieces, like everyone.
Look for quests in your level range that reward upgrade items for your class.
Craft gear with profession.
Buy items in Auction House.
Do dungeons to get some great items. Could be tough though for completely new players.

You unlock DK when any of your characters on your account and realm reaches level 55.

Level - You're pretty much on the middle. Ashenvale is about for levels 20-30. It's more about mob levels. if they're red or orange, I'd steer away, unless you can isolate them so that you can 1v1 them safely. I'd focus on yellow, honestly green preferably, until you get the better grasp of game and its mechanics, not to mention gear.
Gear - I'd say drop your exp rate to x3, and do quests for gear. You might even get lucky BoE -Binds on Equip- item drops for you to use, since you're killing more mobs. Ignore amount of armor, focus on agility stat on them. If the item has no stats on them, then you can compare armors. Int, spirit is entirely useless for you. Strength isn't too bad, but don't pick it over agility. Don't need str items in RDF, that's not gonna fly by the rules.

The green/blue BoE items you may get while leveling, don't vendor them. Sell them in AH, for almost certain sales, below 5g price is recommended. Ofc, check for competition before posting. With the earnings you get, save some for training, and mounts. Rest you can put to gear (I'd focus on big but cheaper upgrades) or for future use. Same goes for bars/ores/herbs/leathers you find in chests.

Pickpocket and lockpicking are good sources for potions and random items.

Uhh so I am playing on Onyxia. If I get level 55, will it also unlock the locked classes in other realms?

Ohhh thank you. I actually just found out about Auction Houses. I have actually a stack of weapons/armor that cannot be used in my class. I hope it sells and makes me a lot of money lol.

No, if you want DK on Icecrown, you need 55lvl on Icecrown.

Hi. Welcome to the best expansion and my favorite one.

I enjoy the original wow experience without addons that people use to completely change the look of the game, so I have never really used many addons -- only necessities. I have been playing since tbc/vanilla and back in the day we used Carbonite for quests. I recommend you use that too (3.3.5 version for the current game version. To install put it into interface > addons folder). With carbonite, not only are quests braindead to do, it shows you when enemy players are near so you can potentially avoid them in time if they're skull level to you, and on the map if you hover over areas it shows you the appropriate level range suggested for players.

But no, you are in the correct area in Ashenvale for level 26. Don't worry about gear until a level you're going to stay at (i.e. max level or twink lv). Use mechanics to help you live longer in fights (disarm, stuns, gouge, evasion, etc). As long as you're not using full white/gray gear, you will be good. Queue for dungeons while you're at it as it's good for leveling and gives you good gear not only from random rewards but the dungeon drops. And you need to have a level 55 in order to make a deathknight (at least that how it was on retail back in the day) as the DK starts at level 55.
