Blackrock merging with Onyxia is terrible

I was super excited to have finally found a TBC era server. I loved this era of WoW the best. I enjoy two things in the game: the leveling experience and PVP. Now that Blackrock is queueing with Onyxia, PVP is pointless on my Onyxia characters. There are no population issues with Onyxia to prompt combining the queues. I don't know who this was even for.

I had planned to spend money upgrading some pieces on my characters, I'm glad I waited. I'll be uninstalling the game and moving on to other things until I hear the change is reversed.

It's been fun playing with everyone, but the reason for me to play at max level is now gone. I wish you all the best and hope I can return someday when the characters I put time into are relevant again.

oh yes warmane u need to change this, blackrock got easy high gear and we come same bgs and arena, thats not fair ...

Looks like Warmane doesnt care about this. there is a big lack of communication

completely and utterly destroyed any pvp on onyxia. so unbeliveably pointless, why on earth did they do this? putting together fresh 70 chars that actually put in the work with fully geared insta 70 andys?

please reverse this, this is absolutely horrible.

100% agree. I cannot comprehend this decision. There is no way someone tought this is a good idea, in my opinion there could only be one reason they did this, it brings more people to the server and therefore more money. I understand they have to make money, but spitting in the face of the core Onyxia playerbase is a no go.

y...maybe switch zu blackrock as pvp player or wait of blizzard announce tbc xd...but i hope warmane read this and got a reply

maybe they can do simple thing but with amazing effect, remove the marks who we need for pvp gear and let us buy the gear only for honor...but i think this deam cant be true...:S

This is was the worst idea implemeted here so far. Maybe there is another pvp population on blackrock, but the amount of people, who quit pvp on onyxia is from my point of view far bigger.
You basically killed pvp on onyxia and there is actually no reason to pvp there. Basically you que BG or arena to meet ppl with highend gear, which you would work on WEEKS to get.
So basically you level up a character, only to realize this and then you can quit, because the only way is to pvp on blackrock. So thank you warmane for listening to your customers

This is the first private server I've seen that manages to kill pvp 2 years in a row.
In record time for the 2nd year because it only took 2 weeks.
Not only do they not change their minds, but they do not even do us the honor of communicating with us, of responding to us.

trivializing the gearing process on onyxia is a bad solution for the problem imo. the obvious solutio would be to remove the thing that causes the problkem in the first place which is the merger.

Blackrock as a concept isn't completely terrible. I myself hated the idea when it was announced, and raised concern against going through with such project, in fear of it ruining the Onyxia pvp experience.

Yet, after arena season started, it seems that onyxia indeed has a low PVP population. Even right now, when i spam Solo q, i am mainly matched with Blackrock players. It seems that onyxia players are just not interested in arena or PVP in general.

However, the Blackrock gearing situation needs to be fixed ASAP. The players on Blackrock can easily get BIS items, im already being matched against players with full of Gruul / kara / mag epics, and badge of justice items like the trinket and neck. Blackrock PVE items are too OP and the drop rate needs to be NERFED a lot.

Yeah, I quit because of this.
