PVP at Lordaeron Realm

Hello friends, I'm new here on the server and would like to ask you a question.

I'm leveling my character on the Lordaeron server because, from what I understand, it is the most "Blizzlike," meaning the closest to the original.

However, I’ve always preferred PvP. I might do some PvE, but I prefer PvP, I love BGs and Arenas.

But I heard that PvP is cross-realm and that on Lordaeron, players have a disadvantage in PvP compared to players from other servers here on Warmane.

What is this disadvantage?

So does that mean I leveled my character for PvP in vain on Lordaeron?

As I said, I prefer a Blizzlike experience in PvP.

Lordaeron is actually a realm with buffed raid-content. The only "blizzlike" thing about it is the x1 exp and the lack of a direct itemshop.

You can't buy gear with points nor coins. There's also a next to non-existant pvp-scene on lordaeron, so you're gonna have a hard time finding people to play with when it's not pve.

Technically there's no downside to playing on lordaeron. It's just much harder to get the gear others can just buy in store. So: You're just going to fight the inevitable uphill-battle vs icecrown (donated 284 weaps/trinkets etc) and blackrock (basically full relentless geared toon right on creation) if you jump into pvp too soon (e.g. before you're done with pve) on lordaeron.

BGs and arenas are cross realm.
