Need some guidance
Hello everyone i'm a completely new player to WoW and have no clue about anything honestly, is there anything i need to make sure of settings wise or where to farm stuff for warrior/get a good understanding of how to obtain certain things like mounts and how to skill cycle more efficiently? thanks in advance.

Reading skill descriptions helps.
You'll need money for training, and even more money to riding skills & mounts. Pick everything you can, sell all you can. Green BoE item that isn't useful to you, may fetch a good gold or two from AH.
Skill rotation depends on spec you go for.

I see, thanks alot for replying, any idea on which spec i should go for or what i can even go for in the first place?

Prot or Arms. People often say Prot is the best.

Warrior is not a beginner friendly class. It is highly gear dependent for its optimal DPS spec(fury). Arms is the goto choice because it can get by as long as you have a good two hand weapon. Protection is the tank spec & is also not recommended for beginners.
I do not know why the other user is stating that "people" say prot is the best, you are being misled with that comment. Probably because the server lacks majorly in the tank department and needs all the tanks it can get. You will also get no guidance or patience from groups as a tank if you are not performing optimally. The flipside is that you will always get instant queues while leveling up, but you are expected & demanded to lead the group with zero reward or appreciation.
Warriors while leveling up are good at fighting lower level enemies because you hit easier thus building rage to use abilities, if you miss an attack, you get zero rage thus no abilities to use.
Classes like hunters, mages, & rogues are good beginner classes as they have escapes & can perform decently without heavy gear investment.
As a warrior you must learn yo stance dance with your three stances & know when & where to use them. You also need to priotize abilities because you can't cast them immediately one after the other if you aren't building rage fast enough.
If you really wish to play a warrior though & stick out the grind, they are exceptionally fun & the feeling of deleting a enemy player with a charge & mortal strike crit followed by a auto attack crit is exceptionally gratifying.
If you wish to pvp, it is recommended to be paired with a group because warriors can get shut down really fast by mages, locks, hunters. One mistake and you'll never get in range.
But watching a shadowpriest kill themselves with a shadow word: death because you spell reflected(warrior ability) is also hilarious.
I say this all as a 70 warrior prot tank that's had to lead countless & thankless dungeon runs.

Personally I recommend Arms, quite good warrior feeling, and you're not tanking RDF's as a new player so it's a solid plus. Even at max level Arms works well while grinding RDF's. Fury comes to play if you ever want to raid. I'd aim to switch to Fury near 5k GS mark (when your gear is mostly 200-232 ilvl).
I rather miss a hit on a warrior rather than on a Mage. If I miss on Warrior, I don't lose my primary resource, it's just halted for a bit. Miss on a Mage and you just wasted 2 seconds on a cast, and you lost decent chunk of your mana as well. Constant mana breaks on Mage honestly is boring.
Hunter ofc is easy mode, as a fresh player you won't be taking aggro from their pet. Pet deals with the mobs with ease, so how you spend/waste your mana isn't that important compared to Mage. Would even recommend Warlock for a beginner over a Mage.
Warriors' stance dance is irrelevant 95% of the time while leveling, or doing RDF's.

Please stop spreading misinformation OhieMitzen.
You can't whirlwind in battle/defensive & you can't thunderclap in berserk... Warriors will often use charge & then swap to berzerker stance to intercept another mob to chain multiple mobs with whirlwind & cleave. In order to do those things, the warrior needs to stance dance.
You can look online for the information yourself but spells require less hit to be successful than physical. If you miss as a warrior you are not generating rage & sit empty vs a caster who is regenating mana due to spirit & other mechanics & abilities.
You have already been caught misleading this new player by telling them that "people often say prot is the best"
The community does not says that, and you are now contradicting your posts by saying this player isn't going to be tanking dungeons yet you recommended prot to them in the first place.
Prot is not & has never been a viable source of quest leveling until wrath came out.
OP please refer to my post & dismiss the other users contradictory & misleading comments.

No need to fight over this guys it's all good, I'll keep both of your tips in mind maybe Ohie plays warrior differently and i'm sure he didn't mean any harm, thank you both for explaining and showing me where to go, i'll do some of my own research aswell to slowly get better at it, thanks again for taking the time to help me out!

You dont need any stance dance or any other thing. Any class is ok to play as "beginner", it doesnt matter, as beginner no one prolly will use the class at its fullest. Prot is quite good to level, you can grab as many mobs as you can and get away with it. As arms you can just charge and use whatever ability you have, can even skip stance quests even (15 years ago I learned berserk stance at lv80), though getting def stance and stance dance (lol, if its even dance since I used it only to taunt if needed and switched backed to battle.) can be good.
This game aint that hard, just go yolo.

(2) enjoy the game while learning at the same time
