Error after client download

Hi, today I downloaded the WotLK client from this web and tried to launch the game. There was an error:

This application has encountered a critical error:

ERROR #132 (0x85100084) Fatal Exception
Program: C:UsersmilanDownloadsWorld of Warcraft 3.3.5aWow.exe
Exception: 0xC0000005 (ACCESS_VIOLATION) at 0023:008D2412

The instruction at "0x008D2412" referenced memory at "0x00000000".
The memory could not be "read".


I tried every possible solution I could find on this forum. Alas I was not succesful. Most of those solutions were older so this might be a newer problem? Anyone who could help me solve this issue?

EDIT: I found out that I am able to launch the game when I launch it in Windows XP Service Pack compatibility. Now the problem is that once I log in I get instantly disconnected.

1. Restart your PC.
2. Close and exit torrent.
3. Move your WoW -folder to other folder, away from Torrent's Download folder.
4. Right click WoW -Folder, select properties, un-check "Read-only" and Apply.
5. If you get prompt, Apply changes to this folder, subfolders and files and click OK.

7. Login by using username, not email.

If still no luck, try a (paid, preferably) VPN. I recommend trying with a burner account first.

Hi, thank you for the advise but I already saw your post in another thread and tried it and nothing worked for me. I really cant figure out what is happening. I remember playing on this server a couple of years ago and there was no problem. Funny thing is that every possible solution I could find does not apply to me.
