WARMANE GIVE US WOTLK CLASSIC 3.4.3 PLX!
That would a whole new chapter for us. Just the ability to play Wotlk Classic would be awesome.
Those who don't want or like it don't have to take it, but many others would be happy about the opportunity.

I don't think it would be an easy job to inverse-engineer the classic client and adapt/remake it due to many reasons. It is possible, but risky and a very tricky job for the devs.. However if you want to play on improved graphics, since this is one of the main reasons why ppl suggest classic, there's many graphic patches to choose from
This is not the same and there is a reason why many other projects will adopt the Classic Client for Vanilla, Tbc and even Cataclysm projects soon! A lot will happen regarding this topic in the coming year 2025 and that's a good thing. Why should we do without the latest technology? We all benefit from this. The mods may be a good alternative but have nothing to do with the actual game. Especially since it's all custom and contains a lot of bugs. Apart from that, the mods do not change anything about the outdated client. The old client is limited and no mods can get around that, it just makes it more obvious.
What we are missing would be Wotlk Classic, although I know that other projects are already working on it.
Therefore, I think if Warmane were to become active here, especially because of their well known Wotlk realms, it would be a highlight.
They have more than every opportunity to do this and of course it takes work. But if you look into the topic a bit you will notice that it is still feasible and not impossible (see other projects that are even close to release Cata Classic).
Yes, that's correct, but keep in mind that warmane is a server which is up since 2015 (actually 2009 if you count the molten era) and that is something that these "other projects" can't offer. Stability and popularity. There are "projects" that open today and close tomorrow or in 2-3 years. First of all there's legal reasons, so I think that warmane is well-aware of what taking risks means. In other words, why should they risk implementing something that might end up destroying the server? It's a bit childish, no offense. In case they consider it worth it from every perspective, I'm sure they would implement it, they are far more capable of doing so better than anyone else. The reason being that warmane actually stood tall for so many years while others didn't manage to do it. I'm not cheerleading for warmane when I'm saying that, I'm just pointing the obvious and if I had to criticize them, I would, but atm I think it's good that they're being cautious about it.
I would argue that we are all here for these reasons and because it is our favorite expansion of the game.
Precisely because Warmane has so much to offer and has always been successful when it comes to Wotlk, it would be worth it for everyone.
Being able to enjoy the same game with even better graphics....I don't think anyone would complain about that.
Even if that were the case, you would still have the option to select the old client.
I don't think there's much to say on the subject of "legality"....then we shouldn't even mention the word "Warmane". But when it comes to this, Warmane has covered himself accordingly....But that's also the smallest problem.
I think it's also a question of whether this huge work would be worth it and only Warmane and the community can decide that together.
Since there is currently no one who can offer this (others are currently working on the new client), it would definitely be another milestone that Warmane could set for its Wotlk realms.
True, wotlk has been and still is the favourite expansion for the og players and also for the new ones, it's just something that simply goes well and really gives you an immersion in what wow is about.

I am for example playing it with newer models, there's plenty of talented creators here on the warmane forum. However if you do want to play with using newer models, make sure you are choosing those who wouldn't crash in dalaran (due to the 2 gb mem allocation).
Speaking of the "option to select the old client", that's a problem, since the original wotlk is built different than the classic wotlk. It's like hmm, wanting to play basketball in a swimming pool. You either play it properly or you go swimming.
But in regards to the legality thing, ofc there are plenty of things to discuss about when it comes to this and whether you know how these things work or not, it's a thing that everyone has to do their own research about in case they want to debate it. As for the "milestone for warmane" I think warmane already proved to be the longest, most stable and most popular server. Sure, if others are able to do at least 50% of what warmane managed to do, we'll see it in 10 years maybe, but until then, they can all "try". Personally I've been playing on warmane for many years and people choose to play anywhere for their own reasons. Some people like playing in servers that open today "fresh fresh" and close tomorrow, others prefer to play on a server that is stable and has a big community etc. Everyone has their reasons to do what they do, that doesn't mean that we can assume that "this would be a good thing/bad thing for the server" just because of our personal likings. I can't say if classic would be good or not, just because I'm not someone able to keep a server up for 15+ years and I could say the same thing about you. You can't tell a doctor how to do a surgery if you don't have a clue about medicine. It's the same with this. We can't tell the warmane management how to manage their business just because we have this idea that it would work well.
So to sum it up, sure it would be nice to have that, but at the end of the day, we can't tell a pilot to fly a plane close to the top of a mountain just so we could open the window mid-air to touch the top of the mountain and take a selfie, don't worry, the pilot is there to fly the plane safely to the destination. If he thinks it's safe to do it, they would do it gladly.
As already written, mods are a great alternative but have nothing to do with Wotlk. It's too custom for that and contains too many bugs.
This is also the reason why Warmane no longer offers the old client with the HD models. Warmane's focus is on the original game.
The fact that you have to deal with crashes and the like is also due to the old client because it is only designed to handle this amount of data to a limited extent.
But everyone is of course still free to design their "personal" gaming experience as they would like.
But this is about the Wotlk client itself.
Wotlk and Wotlk Classic are slightly different but can be customized accordingly. That's why I said in my previous posts that it would take a lot of work.
If you have some knowledge of the subject (Warmane will know that), you will realize that it would definitely be possible.
It's also not about how long other projects survive or not. But that even these projects can implement such innovations.
There is no question that Warmane could implement this.
But because the name Warmane stands for many things and is known for its Wotlk realms, it would be worth taking another step towards the latest technology for Wotlk. If we now think even further, modding for the Wotlk Classic Client would also be possible. This has nothing to do with Warmane but would rather be a case for the modding community. But of course that is still a thing of the future.
Wotlk Classic is just a suggestion or an idea. The forum is also intended for this purpose, but that's why you don't force anything on Warmane. In any case, I am of the opinion that such decisions should be decided together by the project and the community.
Warmane already stated many times they don't do modifications of the client, that is up to the player to do. you want better graphics you have options. download the 4gb patch, change models as you see fit. etc
Old client and classic client arent nearly slightly different
It's not just the client, it's also a different server core.

We even play Vanilla/Tbc on 3.3.5.
When I think about it, I see no reason why they couldn't try to offer Wotlk Classic. After all, it is Wotlk but up to date. It's a lot of work but it would definitely be well received.
