Alchemy specs

I have a question regarding the specializations of Alchemy.

I'm currently on the quest Master of Potions, and my goal is to complete the quest, learn the Pots spec and then switch to Elixirs spec without completing Elixir Spec's quest.

Can it be done that way, or if I want Elixirs, I just have to complete the Elixirs quest and I can't skip it?

You have to pay 150g to switch specs but yes it can be done. Quickest way to get an Alchemy specialization is to get/buy 4 primal mights and go for transmutation mastery and then pay another 150g to switch it to whatever you want.
