BR TBC - Suggestions regarding T5 quest-chain

Dear Warmane Staff and the Almighty God Malaco,

I have a few suggestions on how we can make playing on your BR TBC server even more exciting. You've been so creative in designing two quests where players need to win solo queue 10 times—meaning a total of 20 wins.

I don't think it's far off to assume that, on average, players have around a 50% win ratio in solo queue. This means it takes roughly two games to secure one win.

- The average waiting time in solo queue is about 5 minutes
- The average wait time for the game to start is about 0.5 minutes
- A match lasts around 2 minutes

This results in approximately 7.5 minutes per game—and with a 50% win ratio, that’s 15 minutes per win. Since the quest requires 20 wins, this amounts to 20 x 15 minutes = 300 minutes = 2.5 hours pr. quest

You also have to keep in mind that some players are unable to play during peak hours and therefore have to wait even longer. Additionally, you have removed HC quests from BR TBC, meaning players no longer have the opportunity to gain reputation for their enchants etc.

I believe that with just a small time investment, you could fix some issues that would radically improve the enjoyment of your players.

it still takes basically all week to finish quest and then lets be real most people wont be able to finish the final quest, of 5 wins in a row....

They should at least add kara gear for a fixed honor / arena pt cost, like on wotlk. if not t5 gear too.

They shoulld make the 1st quest chain be a random bg win-- you cannot even que solo que until you win 3 bg's so start the chain with more BG and then leave all the arena quests to the end. (this also makes it easier to finish quest if you can only play with partners for certain blocks of time)


Remove grief quests like Eots 5 kills in 15 seconds and the flag cap quest- the beginning of the week is hilarious with 15 people sitting around flag in eots waiting for it to spawn

make all t4 quests available for pickup at once / or make the 5 win in a row quest available at start of week separately from chain.

I Completely agree with you. But we need more traffic in this thread i guess.

Solo queue is by far the worst **** i've ever experienced. Dps players are waiting 10 minutes sometimes just to get paired up with 2 onyxia players that're in green gear from questing. Absolutely horrendous. Also TWO quests are 10 solo queue wins? like holy **** at least just make it 5 wins each.

Would be nice if its possible to reduce the wins to 5 atleast.

Wt007 said everything. A lot of people are complaining which is understandable in my eyes and if you have "higher" mmr in Solo q you dont wait 5 but 10 minutes or even more.

It should be 5 wins.

One thing I wish warmane could implement is make 2 quest chains, one for arena and one for bg's. Some characters I dislike doing arena such as on my hunter but I love doing bg's with that char. Would look something like for the bg questline, get 4000 total points in Eye of the Storm, could take up to 4-5 games if keep losing or 2 games, way better than Capture the Flag in Eye of Storm which completely ruins the gameplay. Capture the flag in Warsong makes sense because that's the sole objective, in Eye of the Storm you get more bases and typically you win, so many games I see 5+ players sitting waiting for the flag, just ruins the whole gameplay. 25 kills in AB, easy peezy, I like that one. 5 kills within 15 seconds on Eye of the storm, like that as well.

But back to main point being I stink on arena with my hunter but even if I was good at it the amount of time you have to spend waiting in the que plus hoping that you win is far more time vs people raiding on onyxia. I saw a hunter that had the new 2h phoenix sword, new bow and 3 pieces of the T5 set and all I got is the gloves from T5, 3 weeks in but I will admit I stop doing the weekly questline once it gets to 10 arena win on soloq, takes forever so I just wish there was more bg quests because that's why I pvp, not for arena, I can't imagine everyone else loves to play arena which is why I suggest more bg quests pretty please even if they take forever to complete such as capture 5 flags in wsg, that would be insanely hard on some characters and in some games but id much rather do that vs playing arena any day.
