New Player scrutiny?

Hello! Created this account forever ago and then never played. Recently wanted to get into WoTLK after missing the Classic release from Blizz.

I've heard rumors that end-game content is pretty toxic and the community members aren't very open to new players, how true is this? Would I be welcomed as a new player in end-game or would I be scrutinized?

Hello and welcome! It depends on the situation but in general the end-game guilds expect you to be an end-game player. You should work up to it and make sure you have an idea of what tactics a guild will be using since they can vary.
