Hey guys,
I need some help regarding expertise on tanking. Right now I have 26 of expertise, unbuffed, no seal active.
I have the Glyph that adds 10 expertise when I have the seal up, so whenever I am tanking a boss I am usually with 36 of expertise.
I was wondering if this is too much. Should I remove Expertise gems to go down to 16 or should I keep my current 26 expertise unbuffed?
Would appreciate some feedback on this.
u need 16+10 from glyph for most of bosses
there are only 2 bosses that req 56 and thats sindra(usually dk is tanking) and Halion(not that much important but still prevents parry haste)
I can confirm this is all correct. In an attempt to answer the question expertise in almost all cases is a just a threat stat, with the exception of Halion and Sindy who gets to hit you faster if they parry you. In the case of those two bosses the amount of expertise you have depends on if your on Lordaeron, where if you attempt these on HC you need a tuned expertise set for 56 exeprtise on at least Halion and probably for Sindy as well. On Icecrown you probably only need 56 expertise for Halion HC because in other cases your gear and healers can keep you alive through parry hastes.Quote:

In every other boss fight you can essentially go into every fight with whatever expertise you have with glyph+talent+incedental expertise you have on gear (will probably come from Vali boots+maybe weapon). If you have frequent threat issues you should try and manage it with Salvs and tricks/MD, and use your gems for as much stamina as you cram in.
