I’m new on lordareon and because i never leveled hero here i wonder what class to play so i can play endgame and be useful
Endgame is almost exclusively Blood DK and Prot Pala as tanks.
In the past I played with a tank warrior, now I'd like to try with a druid or a paladin.
I think I'll try the druid first for not having the bars of stances, auras and various types of buffs.
You put on some buffs and hot, change form into a bear and you're ready.
It seems much better and a few less things to manage!
On icecrown there is a lot of druids tanks i don’t know are they viable on lordareon
I wouldn't recommend a prot warrior because they are more challenging to play effectively and they have a bad reputation as a result. While they can potentially still work, they don't provide as much value as the other tank options.
Prot Pally and Blood DK are a great duo for wrath endgame and are very desirable by groups. Blood DK has the strongest single target threat, death grip, best magic damage mitigation, massive toolkit of cooldowns, but the worst aoe threat. Prot Pally on the other hand has the best aoe threat, the greatest tank ability ardent defender, paladin buff and support abilities, and they can really take a hit. These two work together really well in ICC.
Feral tanks are incredibly good because of their high health and armor. They also do great damage. They have some strong defensive cooldowns as well on top of that. They do bring some great raid utility like innervate, battle rez, leader of the pack etc. I think if they take the place of a Pally or DK in ICC they might get put into a situation where they're less ideal, BUT if you and your group know what you're doing then they're great and it's extra damage. Besides that the only drawback really is you might not see groups asking as much for a feral tank. They might still take you, they just don't advertise it.
So it can be said that mainly dk and paladin are the most preferable ones, followed immediately by the druids.Quote:
