I'm here to ask for advice on what I can do about the horde that likes to ambush and kill levelers. I'm currently being spammed by a rogue.

Go level up in another zone (you can use the unstuck service so you teleport to your hearthstone location )
You can ask a friend to help you kill him , or you can queue for dungeon and once the dungeon pop , you accept the resurrection and teleport inside the dungeon.
if you don't want to do any of this , you can just logout and come back later when you think he left.

I only encountered high-level people trying to kill me.

I just want to enjoy after work.
