Will there be a fresh realm like Onyxia, starting up from vanilla? Personally, I would love that, because jumping on the progressive realm from tier 4 of tbc I see that I've missed so much. A fresh realm from scratch would be wholesome.

I've seen mention of Onyxia resetting after Wrath finishes. Who knows how they would run it on the second round though if it will be the same or tweaked. I imagine they will learn some things from the first time and adjust.
Lots of fixes have been made the first time around, so vanilla should run better.
Nothing has been decided yet, we still have all of wotlk to go through
So we have to wait until Onyxia reaches the end of WotLK to reset then? That's a long way :(
Not even as long as the rest of us had to endure for it to come to this point where we are close to Wrath. A lot of us have endured almost 2 years for fresh Wrath progression.Quote:

in both cases we were presented with a few weeks of naxx and now sunwell untill smth changes.
i mean there will always be people who complain there isnt content but what i was personally disappointed about was the pvp meta. We afked at bridge in AV for a week or so for BIS until the end of the game and there was no incentive to play bgs after that ,which is so much wasted repeatable content in my eyes. raids also didnt give much better loot, only in AQ you will see comparable items, which is so much wasted repeatable content in my eyes.
I hope this time around they give incentive to play the BGs for objectives and buy gear for marks you get from winning, and also balance out the pvp gear.
Ofcourse. Running 2 progressive servers at the same time would split the player base for each server in half. Alliance is already super dead so not a great idea.Quote:

I think the method they used for Anniversary would probably work better for objective gameplay. Just farming honor week to week for ranks. I kinda think the whole AV bridge farm turned into a core memory and getting R14 so early was also pretty fun. Wasn't great for PvP in the long run though.
I think the War Effort resource amounts need to be lowered. Most players really didn't care.
Then obviously having raids ready on launch. But aside from those things it was a pretty fun play through.
it wasnt great for pvp and pve both, it killed a lot of gear progression and the r14 gear itself also had no prestige. Was fun pumping big numbers in MC/BWL ofc, but besides that we basically stopped playing week2, just raidlogged or griefed ppl.
