Sinister Calling broken or working as intended?

Anyone know if the achievement Sinister Calling (obtain a sinister squashling pet and a hallowed helm) is broken or working as intended? Currently if you get the hallowed helm by winning a roll from the headless horseman the item won't count towards the achievement, but if you get it through a treat bag it does.

A fix for that is pending, you can obtain it from treat bags or use things other than need/greed until its applied
