Good afternoon, recently while gathering nodes and herbs on Northrend I've come across numerous bots, mostly in Sholazar Basin but all over the place, same thing was happening in TBC but as I was reporting them, the GMs would respond that they will take a look at the reported player and act accordingly, which has not seemed to be the case since we transitioned to WOTLK. Reporting a player for botting now gets you a GM response asking you to submit proof, basically to record the player you suspect of botting upload it to youtube and attach the link.
What has changed in comparison to TBC and why the GMs are asking players to do their job is unknown to me, either way I wanted to propose a suggestion, make it so that if a bot is banned thanks to a player report who recorded a video of them botting, uploaded it to youtube and gave everything to a GM on a silver plater, make it that the player receives the bots inventory in exchange, if the report turns out to be true and the player is indeed a bot and gets banned.
If I am expected to do GMs job I would like to be motivated in a way, unless you guys benefit from bots, then that's a whole other story.
