Blacklock Seasonal PVP Issues - Gear/Grind/Bots
Hello there, Linten - Best Arms Warrior player and general permaNEET lifelong master of all games legend here.
At this point I think I'm just about done with the seasonal PvP here on Blackrock for multiple reasons, namely the massive gear disparity and flawed system where people have BIS Hardmode 239 items and just 232 in general when it takes weeks to obtain Deadly, let alone the Furious mainset so damage is off the charts and nobody has resilience or health to keep up. It's a terrible state to PvP in. At least I got to experience the Naxx period fun for a short while.
There is no joy to be found in PvP when it's a steamroll on one side or the other. I personally love the challenge and thrill of a heated long lasting combat more than anything and currently it's just one sided games with none of the fun available.
The other main issue is the excessive honour costs/grind which requires playing for 12hours a day just to keep a single character relevant in gear, I don't want to be stuck on one class. And I don't want to play WoW as a full time job. Working is not play. Working is not fun. People do not put in any effort when they are not having fun. Everything is being done purely to chase a reward and it's very noticeable in the behaviour during battlegrounds. Nobody is actively trying to play they just want to 'go next' and farm honour as quickly as possible where there aren't enough hours in the day. Quite frankly it sucks and stripped my motivation away whereas before during the Naxx patch I was burning with passion and having a grand time as well as the friends who got me to come back on here and play BG's together.
This extreme grind has one other major issue that it brings: BOTS - Every.Single.Game. I see at least 3-7 players botting per team and AFK players trying to hide, sticking others on follow or just frankly not caring and obviously sitting in one spot making no effort unless someone attacks them. The odd part is that the people botting are often running around with Duelist titles and some Best in Slot gear. They too clearly have no interest in playing the game(BG's) and just want the reward that comes about from 'participating.'
Some accounts got perma'd on global the other day but I still see a few of the same names and new people botting in every single BG. It's very obvious when a Rogue that 'only plays combat for BG's' is following directly with instant always facing you turning like an NPC as an enemy and has no reaction to being kited, only spams sinister strike to 0 energy and has no concept of terrain. Arathi Basin fences and the sides of EotS tower ramps may as well be death pits for these autonomous players.
-Long story short is that it's the extremely high honour costs that are driving people to botting and ruining the state of play.
High level PvE gear should not be obtainable when PvP gear is not.
PvP gear should not be timegated as it is unfit to be used in a PvE setting, PvE gear however is always optimal for improving damage output in PvP.
Gear in general should not be delegated to RNG 'lootboxes' which are incredibly unsatisfying and only make you feel as if your time has been wasted for chasing and opening them. I'm not engaging with a PvP server to gamble or play Monopoly I'm here to fight.
P.S. Add Wild Achemist Potions/Reusable Potions for Alchemist and remove the cost on Tailoring Nets/allow tailors to craft them with materials.
Add Crusader, Icy Chill, Unholy Weapon and Deathfrost to the weapons enchants selection. These are all viable in PvP and unobtainable on Blackrock.
(Add Onyxia 245 trinkets to the non-seasonal vendors)
Also a big thank you for listening to and adding many of the suggestions in my older post https://forum.warmane.com/showthread...49#post3132149 it made the game far more enjoyable and I truly had a blast playing Warrior these past couple of weeks.
