Rolling in dungeons.

If I have option to NEED item in dungeon, can I need it without fear of ninja looting 2d ban?

So I guess if its NEED I am allowed to need it?

Is it class based or roll based?

For example, we had a tank who rolled 2h epic drop dungeon. Can I report him? We all roll greed but he rolled need even if its not dps?

Common misconception: BoE's are need rolled.
Truth: BoE, if an upgrade to your current role's gear, can be needed to equip as any other item in the game.

BoE is just a piece of gear as rules are concerned. Rules are the same for BoP and BoE items. Players have some weird self-made rulings that don't apply here.

Depending on stats and class, it could be reported.
If the item in question is good fit for DK/Druid tank, it depends on tank's current weapon. If an upgrade, nothing happens; if not an upgrade, that should count as ninja.
Since Warriors/Paladins don't tank with 2h weapons, that would be outright ninja.
