Challenge 2k rating with DK+Rogue combo

Hello guys, we managed to reach 2k rating with the crazy and stupid combo that has almost zero synergy: DK + Rogue.

The DK provides very little assistance to the Rogue besides damage. We don't have a strong CC chain, and even the pet stun shares diminishing returns with Kidney Shot.
Because of that, our strategy is to secure a kill within a 20-second window. As the Rogue, I can use Sap, stuns, and Blind on the off-target to create CC. We try to burst down one target as quickly as possible using Corpse Explosion and Shadow Dance burst. If they manage to survive our damage, we usually lose.
However, as you can see, many teams can't deal with that strategy up to 2k rating. To be more specific, around 90% of our losses are against teams with a Paladin.
From all the arena games I've played with a DK, I can say that if Paladins were removed from the game, this composition would probably be a viable A-tier setup. Unfortunately, Divine Shield counters it very hard.

Out of these 20 wins, the following number of wins were vs Teams that were afk / flushing (no damage done / instant leave) at almost 2k Rating:

Gratz on your hard-earned achievement that definitely has nothing shady going on but who am I to judge.

Quick Edit cause I saw you are in that Arena tournament X guild.
If you just take a look at your Guild Leaders Match History (nice racist guild rank by the way) you see it is 100% pure wintrading just in order to get the achievments.
See team "wvqwqvwq" - all games 0 damage, just wintrading each single game.

Do with that information what you want but in my opinion this is just so pathetic.

Yeah, you're right. There were some teams dropping MMR or whatever, and we got a free wins from them. However, I don't know those people—it was pure luck. Maybe they were trying to boost someone else, but it definitely wasn't us. If it happened, it was completely by chance.

Speaking of that, it could be a good topic to discuss: why not add an NPC that lets players reset their MMR instead of having people intentionally lose games? They could also prevent players from leaving arena matches, and anyone who stays AFK in the arena could receive a 24-hour deserter debuff. That would reduce MMR droppers and boosters significantly.

I understand why it looks shady to you, and I don't judge you for thinking that. All I can say is that I'm telling the truth here, and I had nothing to do with those free wins—they just happened. We've climbed close to 2k many times before, reaching 1950–1970 rating, but never quite making it. This time we had a bit of luck.

At the end of the day, this comp needs some luck to succeed, especially since facing Paladins is almost always a loss for us.
