Personal respect must be earned. Respect for authority, not so much.
You might loathe the police, but at their face you will show respect. Or handle the consequences. That's part of a healthy community.
And I'm not even going into how people are so liable to confuse "liking" with "respecting", or making one be a contingency for the other.
Truly respectful people hardly ever get pulled over, and when they do, they act with respect for authority, backing off and apologizing if they were in fact in the wrong.
Then there are the ones who feel they are "tax payers" or "a necessary part of the community" and believe they are above rules or the fact showing respect for the enforcers isn't optional. The kind who the largest part of the community just shakes their heads at and move on, getting support only from like-minded people who delude themselves into thinking if they bundle up as a group, they can "make a difference", never realizing the community doesn't wants a difference.
Forget I said anything :\
I've been binge watching Orange is the New Black... OMG so freaking good. Done 11 episodes today D:
If anyone knows any good TV shows I have the entire summer till True Blood, Grey's Anatomy and Glee comes back, would be nice to watch something else.
You should check out House of Cards (Kevin Spacey). It used to be Netflix only, but I know at least the first season can be found by other sources. I'm not sure if it's on TV though.
I dont own a TV xD I don't believe in having to pay $200 a year for a TV license.
Piratebay is my best friend.
WHAT.
$200/year for a TV LICENSE?! What the **** is that ****?!
Yeah, you could probably find it on piratebay. I'm sure you'll love it.
