You're right about Loremaster (added a bit about it), though the exploration, afair, is the same for both factions.
For ally is easy because they cant must go to some horde island but horde muse go to 3 ally islands on boat with ally guards lvl70+ and thats is more difficult
True, the criteria largely remains the same though.
Yes, it's kinda unfair for an achievement to favor one facton over other (any reputation achievement WILL favor humans, for example), but managing to beat such odds is half the deal in any race.
Barring that, I know what you mean: getting killed on that Exodar boat and kicked all the way back to Ashenvale can drive any saint berserk.
