The rage is building.
So my gf's uncle is dying from brain cancer. This man has a bleeding tumor in his head and four in his chest. This man just had 14 hour surgery and the chance of him surviving is roughly 4% according to the doctors. Apparently it was a miracle he even made it through the surgery.
But anyways, my gf obviously had to call off work because she is helping her aunt by watching the children. So my gf goes back to work, they tell her she can't call off two days in a row and the days off can not be excused because her uncle isn't immediate family.
Her boss told her, "I never got to see my cousin as she was passing away and I had to miss her funeral because I couldn't call off."
IF you put work first instead of seeing a loved one for the last time and going to their funeral. You're ****ed. I understand if you can't make it because your loved one lives across the country or whatever but holy ****. I still can't imagine myself going up to an employee and telling them that the days they called off are not excused because their uncle is not immediate family. *****, WHAT IF MY UNCLE RAISED ME? FUQ U MEEN!?!?!?

Well, fortunately for her. She can quit. She lives with her parents. And she's going to have to quit anyways when she starts school again in the summer because her job isn't willing to work with her on her hours. She has to come in 9:00 AM and her shift ends at 5:00 PM. Which would conflict with school.
So chances of her quitting are pretty high. Plus, she hates her job. She makes decent money but her job is pretty stressful and just all around ridiculous.
