We will still be able to see where players queuing for PvP are coming from, and I believe the priority might be for using other Onyxia players before Blackrock.

I don't personally care about splitting ladders one way or the other, so I don't have anything to counter.

I can do that, sure.

Onyxia players will be ganked by more experienced blackrock players and will not want to play pvp on Onyxia anymore.
if a player from onyxia has 4 free hours a day, he spends 2-3 on raids and 1-2 on farming, wants to play pvp and against him are people who spend 4 hours on pure pvp. All other things being equal, a blackrock player has an advantage over onyxia player

This can / will happen even on Onyxia.

I know several high rated players that are looking forward to play competitive in TBC on Onyxia.

I agree with the difference in time and investments required, and I still don't think it's fair.

But even if you get "ganked" by more experienced players, no matter if they play on Onyxia or Blackrock, they'll move up in MMR and you wont be facing them again.

I for one welcome more PvP activity for TBC

I did put in a suggestion that Marks should be removed from pvp gear though, because it encourages win trading/afking.

That would be true for anyone on Onyxia who created an alternate character just to PvP, or even who just focused on PvP with their main. This is a really bad argument, you're just saying Blackrock players are better at PvP and it's unfair to play against someone more skilled in a competitive mode. I doubt your Onyxia PvP mates are going to agree that they are by default worse than Blackrock ones.

A player from a PvP realm does not waste time on other activities
And it's easier for him to get equipment

As usual on private servers as an alternative they would wait for people to share them accounts if it was not for Blackrock release and that would be the way worse outcome for Onyxia players.

I didn't say anything about the "most competitive ones", just answered my guy believeing only Blackrock players would stomp less experienced players.
You do know there are competitive players that have played Vanilla on Onyxia and will also enjoy TBC as whole?

People will be more likely to play pvp alts on blackrock, but as many has stated this will have an effect on Onyxia as whole, in pve as well.

I've never stated that my guild threatened to quit, you must confuse me with someone else. Everyone in my guild are going to continue playing on Onyxia, both PvE and PvP.

Just conduct a survey among players from Onyx whether they want to have a common ladder with blackrock among players who up 60 lvl before September 9
