well first off we haven't had an aff lock app in god knows how long. second affliction provides what 1 raid wide buff? unless i missed something here. and that buff is only useful to casters. affliction is also a much harder spec to pull dps in although i have seen them do it and do well with it. they just do not warrant another one of them being in a raid. i would say the main reason really though is that no one plays the spec.Quote:

Well I'm talking affliction. And the likelyhood of such a proc at the right time would be pure luck at best not something you can readily rely on. However talking about destro, If we worried about how much a class could absorb we would lose dps. Thats why we have tanks soak boomkins knockback and spriest aoe. That's another reason why locks are not readily taken BC stacking them up just for absorbs vs higher end dps mages/hunters would result in a later transition to p2.5 or a hard enrage. I mean 100+ HLK kills with 1 lock should be enough proof to show we know what we are doing with our raid comps.Quote:

They can't always negate valks, they'd need to have perfect positioning at any time which isn't always possible due to defiles. In order to utilize their portal they would have to get picked up in the direction their port is set in so they aren't out of range, and valks carry you towards the closest edge from the point they pick you up on. They do have however more survivability than mages. Then again its neither locks' or mages' job to soak viles so it boils down to dps. Which mages win at.Quote:
