People want to be naive enough to realise a lot of mental illnesses are caused by the inbalance of chemicals in the brain and the use of drugs is to help neutralise it, only showing "care and empathy" isnt strong enough for the body and mind to self sustain itself in a medium state.

There are some that are caused by a defective gene which we cannot help for this generation but the screening and use of gene therapy in order to rid the world of the mutation is an advancement for future generations.
