Hunting Time-Lost Proto Drake

I got mine 4 hours after a server restart. Vyragosa spawned and I killed it and checked the time. Went back exactly 4 hours and 2 minutes later to find TLPD pathing past the engine of the makers, he was quite high up as well.

so, from what i've read, he spawns each 4hrs, right?

He, or Vyragosa i think.

First of all i want you to know that if it hadn't been for you at this time i'd be still farming, so i wanna thank you for all of your informations. Here's my story:

I killed almost 15-20 Vyragosa in one week and finally I got 2 Time-lost proto drake in 2 days.. (4 proto drake if it hadn't been for server crash and a vmap bug)

So, after one week of farming i know all the spawn point location and the time between spawn and here i am to share this:

Time spawn:
Vyragosa/Time-Lost Proto Drake=EXACTLY 1 HOUR AFTER THE DESPAWN OF THE DEAD CORPSE
My GUESS is that every hour there is a chance of 1/4 or 1/6 of Proto Drake spawning instead of Vyragosa.

Here the map of ALL(?) spawn location confirmed by ME.

(NOTE: Both the dragons doesn't have a flight path, they just spawn on the location, Vyragosa on the ground and the Proto Drake in the Air (more difficult to bring him to the ground and kill him because sometimes he's flying too high and he lose aggro)

First off, I'd like to thank anyone who posted anything in this thread, especially solakar above - as, like you said, I'd probably still be camping for it right now without all this information!

After about a month of camping I've finally killed the drake as my 85th mount, a day after transfering from Greymane to Neltharion - 20:10 server time.

I am 100% confident in solakar's information that vyragosa or the proto drake spawns an hour after the despawn of the last drake's body that was in storm peaks.

I got my kill over at Bor's fall - the proto drake was hovering in the air and required a couple attempts for it to safely aggro onto SOLID GROUND - it can fall through the ice, as has happened before, and killing it when not actually situated on the floor (anywhere in storm peaks) can also make this happen.

Moral of the story is - if you're currently camping it out, don't give up!! It's definitely worth the wait in the end!

I got him today on frostwolf at 20:51. He's at 42:58 coords, at the Foot Steppes near the Engine of Makers. He's flying very high and i kill him at the air but fortunately he's not fell under ground. First i can't loot it, but i make a fast relog and then i can loot it easily.

so if time lost exist on this server, what about aeonaxx, im gonna hunt them both if i know aeonaxx esists :D
